The Scottish Sun reports that Kenny Miller is close to the exit door at Dundee.
The 39-year-old has had a tumultuous time of it over the last few seasons.
Firstly, both he and Lee Wallace found themselves as outcasts at Ibrox, after an alleged altercation with Graeme Murty after a Hampden semi-final back in 2018.
He didn’t turn out for the Gers again and soon found himself looking for a new club.
Livingston offered him a role as manager, but Miller only lasted a number of weeks in the post. The club wanted him to focus on his managerial duties, but the forward wasn’t prepared to retire from playing.
Then, in August, he made the move to Dens Park. As club captain at Dundee, he was a near ever-present in the league last season. He scored nine times in all competitions, including a run of seven goals in five appearances across November and December. During that purple patch he scored in a 1-1 draw with the Gers and netted a hattrick against Hamilton.
However, after The Dee’s relegation, it seems he’s to be on the move once more. The report claims he’s close to agreeing to the termination of his current contract.

He’s said to have made an unsuccessful bid for the briefly vacant managerial post at the club. Yet, James McPake was preferred and it seems Miller isn’t prepared to turn out in the Championship solely as a player.
Miller looking for a new home
It’s claimed that he’s determined to find a new club and to keep playing into his 40s.
It’ll be interesting to see where he ends up next season, but he’s hardly likely to be short of offers.
Miller is a vastly experienced frontman and although not quite as prolific as he was in his prime, he showed last season that he certainly still knows where the goal is.
You would think one of the smaller SPL teams would jump at the chance to have a player of his ilk in their squad for 2019/20.
