Former Rangers striker Andy Gray has said he doesn’t think Celtic should be handed the title as the league is “too close to call”.

Backing up the suggestion from many Rangers fans that Celtic can still be caught, football pundit Andy Gray suggests the league was far from over when it was suspended by the global pandemic.

Speaking about Liverpool’s predicament down south, Gray doesn’t believe that either the Anfield club or Celtic should be awarded the title.

“Celtic shouldn’t win in Scotland either,” said Gray [Scottish Sun].

“No Championship that’s unfinished should be declared finished.

“In Scotland, it’s even closer [compared to England].

“It’s close and it’s not close as it might be or should be.

“But it’s too close to call still [the title].”

The debate over the whereabouts of the league title continues to rage on as European football grinds to a halt in the face of one of the biggest health crises in a century.

It is believed that the SFA are eager to complete the season and are not considering voiding the competition as of yet.
