Former Rangers star spotted enjoying 2-1 victory at Celtic Park

Bluenose fans up and down the country were celebrating come the final whistle in the 2-1 win over Celtic and that includes former Rangers star, Fraser Aird.

The ex-Rangers winger featured for the club climbed up the leagues after the events of 2012, making 85 appearances and scoring 12 goals between 2012 and 2017.

The Canadian international was spotted in the stands on Sky Sports celebrating this iconic victory after the match.

Giving a cheeky sign to the rival fans, Aird is clearly over the moon to be part of the celebrations at Celtic Park.

It’s Rangers first win at the home of our rivals in nine years and the emotion of the victory was clearly visible amongst the players and staff.

And whilst that good feeling has rippled amongst the Rangers support, eagle-eyed fans have taken to Twitter to celebrate the glimpse of Fraser Aird on Sky Sports’ coverage.

It’s a bit of a cheeky gesture from Aird, so if you’re offended by that sort of thing let us apologise in advance.

Call it getting caught up in the moment, but I think considering it’s the first time we’ve won at the home of our rivals in so long we can give the Candian winger a bye.

Now turning out for Cove Rangers, it proves that the old adage “once a Rangers, always a Ranger” rings true.

After Rangers dominated Celtic this afternoon, Aird isn’t the only footballer catching the eye of Rangers fans after the 2-1 win at Celtic Park.
