Former Rangers striker Shota Arveladze has fully recovered from Covid-19 after he contracted the disease last month.
The Georgian forward, who is now the manager of Uzbekistani side Pakhtakor Tashkent, took to Twitter on September 23rd to announce he had tested positive.
But after a period of self-isolation, the former Ajax and Dinamo Tblisi striker has taken to the platform to announce that he has made a full recovery from the illness.
Taking to Twitter Shota writes:
“I want to share with you that I’m fully recovered from Covid 19. I’m very well now. Thanks for your words and support!”
Shota Averladze joined Rangers from Ajax in 2001 and would spend four seasons at the club before joining AZ Alkmaar in Holland.
Rangers reportedly paid £3m to take the Georgian to Ibrox and he would go on to play over 130 games for the club, scoring 57 times and winning five trophies.
Averladze started his career with Martve Tblisi before earning a move to Dinamo Tblisi and eventually Trabzonspor in Turkey.
Earning a reputation as a lethal goalscorer, Averladze would then move to Amsterdam where he enjoyed four successful years at Ajax before joining Rangers.

The striker would also turn out for Levante in Spain before retiring and made 61 caps for the Georgian national team, scoring 27 goals.
So far Averkadze has managed five sides in his managerial career: Kayserispor, Kasimpasa, Trabzonspor, Maccabi Tel Aviv and now Pakhtakor.
