Former Rangers skipper Lee Wallace has spoken positively about the upcoming season, as quoted by the Scottish Sun.
The 31-year-old has linked up with old Gers boss Mark Warburton, by signing for QPR on Friday [BBC Sport]. He penned a two-year contract with the Championship side.

They finished a disappointing 19th last season, but after joining alongside former Gers keeper Liam Kelly, Wallace is optimistic about the future.
“I know what I am and I know what I can be and when I ask myself some key questions, what does my best game look like, what do I feel like when I’m at my best?” he said, as quoted by the Scottish Sun. “I know how I’m going to get there and I think now I have an opportunity at an exciting time to come and play for a top football club, so I’m going to meet this head on.
“First and foremost I can’t wait to work hard, earn the right to wear the shirt and give as much of a positive impact to my team-mates as possible.
“I felt everything was right (to sign for QPR), the circumstances at Rangers played a part in that but now it’s time for that lifestyle change as well.”

Verdict
Wallace sacrificed a lot to stick by Rangers through thick and thin. That earned him massive admiration from the Gers support base, many of whom have criticised the club for failing to give him an official farewell.
It’s great to see that despite so long without regular football, the player’s appetite is still there.
At 31, he should still have several good years left in him. Therefore, with a full pre-season under his belt, let’s hope he can hit the ground running in the Championship.
His last few season’s at Ibrox were somewhat tragic, but he did so much good over his eight years with the club.
As he said himself, it’s time for a new challenge.
