Former Rangers manager Steven Gerrard is being linked with a stunning move to Paris Saint-Germain.

After getting sacked at Aston Villa earlier in the season and then missing on the Poland and Leeds United managerial job, the former Gers boss could be set for a move to French and European giants Paris Saint-Germain.

Now, as unbelievable as it may sound, that is what is being reported in the Scottish media today.

The Scottish Daily Express have reported that defending French champions PSG are considering the former Rangers boss to become their next manager.

The report has claimed that the PSG hierarchy ‘are becoming increasingly frustrated with Christophe Galtier’.

The defending French champions are not running away with the Ligue 1 title as many would have expected to, got knocked out of the French Cup by bitter rivals Marseille, and lost the first leg of the UEFA Champions League last-16 tie 1-0 to Bayern Munich at home.

PSG have reportedly discussed Gerrard internally as a managerial option.

The Liverpool legend was fired by Premier League club Villa earlier this season. Let us not forget that the Liverpool legend left Rangers for the Villans.

The former England international midfielder was linked with the Leeds managerial job as well.

The Mirror and The Daily Mail both reported that the West Yorkshire club were looking at Gerrard as a potential candidate to replace Jesse Marsch with.

However, the Whites have decided to go with Javi Gracia instead.

The Sun reported in January 2023 that Gerrard was a candidate for the Poland national team manager’s job.

Former Portugal head coach Fernando Santos got the role instead.

Meanwhile, Rangers legend Terry Butcher has praises Connor Goldson, Calvin Bassey, Ben Davies and Ryan Kent in The Sunday Post ahead of the Scottish Cup final against Celtic this coming weekend.

Butcher wrote: “They will need Connor Goldson to defend very well, be a proper player and leader on the day. I also like Ben Davies. He reads the game well.

“Calvin Bassey was a great player for Rangers last season and there were some games I thought he had three lungs! He was a massive void to fill.

“But Goldson and Davies are doing well together. Ryan Kent will also need to be right on it. He is a lovely player to watch when he produces his magic.”
