The legendary kit man sadly passed away having been at Rangers for over 30 years, at first driving the team bus and then as the Head of Kit.

Earlier we reported some of the tributes that have been flooding in on social media, with former players such as Josh Windass and Ronald de Boer posting messages of condolences.

However, it was a particularly touching message from Michael Beale that tugged at the heartstrings of fans.

Posting a picture of the pair after Rangers lifted a historic 55th Title last May, the former coach tweeted, ‘My Friend. Heartbroken, it was amazing to live this moment with you and see how happy you were the club meant the world to you – the stories, the memories you shared with everyone. Rip Jimmy Bell x’

The Englishman left the club with manager Steven Gerrard and assistant Gary McAllister to move to Aston Villa in November, saying that he would ‘love to return’ to the club in the future.

The tributes show how loved and respected Bell was, showing the mark of the man.

He was involved in a mammoth 41 trophy wins during his illustrious spell at Ibrox and he will be a massive loss to everyone at the club.

Rest in Peace Jimmy, you will be sorely missed.
