Controversial former Rangers defender Steven Pressley has been sacked as manager of Carlisle United after only 10 months in charge.
The big former centre half leaves the English League Two side languishing in 19th place and his sacking comes after a 3-1 Football League Trophy defeat to Morecambe this week.
Pressley started his career with Rangers, playing four years at Ibrox between 1990-94 before controversially joining Celtic more than a decade later.

Perhaps better known for his time at Hearts and Celtic than he is for his time at Rangers, Pressley burned a few bridges with the Ibrox support when he joined our Old Firm rivals.
The job at Carlisle United was the fifth managerial role of Presley’s managerial career excluding his time as a caretaker at Hearts back in 2005.
“Steven has given his all and has worked tirelessly since the day he joined us,” said Carlisle chairman Andrew Jenkins [Carlisle United].
“We understand the challenges and have supported him throughout, but we haven’t seen the evidence of progress we expected or needed to see.

“This is not something we can allow to continue, so sadly it is time to change, move on and look forward.”
Pressley, who also played for Coventry, Dundee United, Randers and Falkirk in his playing career, will have a short journey home with the English side only 10 miles from the Scottish border.
Speaking of managerial changes, Pressley isn’t the only ex-footballer with a Rangers connection involved in a managerial shake-up recently.
