Former Rangers boss Mark Warburton is backing the Ibrox side to leave Celtic Park with all three points ahead of the first Old Firm game of the season.
Queens Park Rangers manager Warburton has lavished Steven Gerrard’s side with praise ahead of the match with their fierce rivals on enemy territory.

Rangers have been on good form in the early part of the season and will be hoping to carry this into the game against Celtic.
Warburton not only believes that the Ibrox side have what it takes to dump Celtic on their own patch this weekend, but that Steven Gerrard’s team can go on and lift the trophy in May.
“I really fancy Rangers to win this game. I think they are in a good position, playing well, scoring goals, winning games, and tight at the back,” said Warburton [Scottish Sun].
“Rangers have invested in the squad. Steven Gerrard’s been backed, and now he’s got real depth with the players he has available.
“To me, Gerrard has got a squad now that can deal with all the various challenges ahead.
“There has unquestionably been a gap with Celtic in recent years.
“But now I don’t think there’s much between the teams, if anything.
“The challenge for Rangers is to do it throughout the season.
“I very much hope they can go to Celtic Park, play well and get the win. I fancy them to do just that.
“Rangers have added that quality in key areas, while they also won at Celtic Park last time round with a great performance.
“It’s a place that should hold no fears for them, especially with there being no supporters allowed.
“Psychologically, if Rangers could win on Saturday it would likely be massive for the rest of the season.
“The derby is always a big game and this one could be huge.
“You always want to go to the home of your biggest rivals and perform.”

Rangers are currently one point ahead of Celtic in the Scottish Premiership, who have a game in hand on Steven Gerrard’s team.
Here’s how we predict Rangers will line up for this crunch match as they go in search of three points at Celtic Park.
