Former Falkirk manager, John Hughes, has offered some high praise for Rangers midfielder, Scott Arfield, as quoted by the Scotsman.
The two worked together at The Bairns as Arfield racked up over 100 league appearances between 2007 and 2010.

Hughes, who was most recent recently manager of Raith Rovers in 2017, is a big fan of the now Canada skipper.
“I love Scott”, said Hughes, as quoted by the Scotsman. “I have been on record before as saying he is the kind of player who will end up being first on Stevie Gerrard’s team sheet because he is a managers’ dream.”
Therefore, he thinks the £2.25m-rated [Transfermarkt] star is pivotal to Rangers winning silverware next season.
“In terms of Rangers, I think they are still three or four short and that’s what they need to find – and they will”, he added.
“With the contacts Steven has and the pull of Rangers, I think they will get in the three or four they need. Then it will be all to play for.
“Stevie Gerrard will know what he has to do and whatever he does, Scott is going to be pivotal to it, 100 percent.”

Verdict
Arfield has shown just how vital he can be across the last two fixtures.
He had already been enjoying an impressive debut season. Standout performances like his one against Celtic in December showed he could offer the side a lot in midfield.
However, his influence has increased significantly since Steven Gerrard’s tactical switch.
Arfield is now delivering to great effect in the final third and long may it continue.
