Former Liverpool striker Peter Crouch has spoken about how he’d have liked to have experienced playing for Rangers, as quoted by the Daily Record.
The 38-year-old retired from the professional game in July having represented 11 clubs across a 20-year career.
During that time, the 6ft 7″ target man netted 108 Premier League goals, as well as registering 58 assists [PremierLeague.com].

Other than a loan spell at IFK Hassleholm in Sweden, he played exclusively in England, but he admits he wishes he’d sampled a Glasgow derby before hanging up his boots.
“I would have liked to have come up here, definitely, play in an Old Firm game, I would have loved to have been a part of that,” said Crouch, as quoted by the Daily Record. “It just didn’t materialise.”
“I didn’t want to come up here half-hearted, it wouldn’t be allowed, certainly by him (Gerrard) for one, and I was ready to finish. I wanted to finish in the Premier League.
“In my early 30s I would have liked to have come here and given it a go and done it properly, but it wasn’t to be.”

Verdict
Crouch played for some massive clubs south of the border including Liverpool and Tottenham, and although never prolific, he enjoyed an impressive long-lasting career.
He forged a famous partnership with current Gers sharpshooter Jermain Defoe at both Spurs and Portsmouth, as well as playing alongside Stevie G at Anfield.

It seems though, that the revival of the Gers and the appointment of Gerrard came too late for him to get a chance at Ibrox.
Not all strikers are able to keep firing on all cylinders in their late 30s, and while Defoe is still banging in the goals, Crouchy has a podcast!
