Former Rangers hero Rino Gattuso has been filmed in training biting into a challenge after taking a sore one, proving that some things never change.
The fiery Italian went all the way to the top in his career and is now the manager of former side AC Milan. He is a remembered as a bit of a cult hero in Govan after spending a season south of the Clyde in the late 1990s.
And his hard-tackling attitude doesn’t seem to have left him.

The incredible thing is, it’s not even Gonzalo Higuain he nails. The Argentinian striker comes into the back of him, and immediately backs off with his hands up.
But it’s probably the kind of bite you’d expect to see in a Rino Gattuso team.
Undeterred and hungry for payback, Gattuso gets stuck in himself. Right into a defender in the white team Higuain appears to be in.
The internet is loving it and why wouldn’t they be? You don’t get them like Rino Gattuso anymore. He’s perhaps the last of a certain firebrand of international class midfielder.
Passionate, physical and determined, he also won it all with club and country.
But he’s never forgot that year in Govan and holds Rangers in the highest esteem. He even once said it was at Ibrox he learned to be a professional, under the tutelage of Paul Gascoigne in a Walter Smith side. He tells a touching story about Gascoigne and some suits you can read more about here.
It’s great to see none of the bite from Rino’s playing days has left him.
