Former Celtic star Davie Provan has launched an astonishing attack on Rangers fans, claiming the Ibrox club’s supporters “care more about 10 in a row than public health”.
The Parkhead club continues to drone on about their dubious charge for 10 titles on the trot as the Gers look to secure a 55th league trophy.

Speaking after the coronavirus guideline breaches of Ibrox duo George Edmundson and Jordan Jones, Provan launched a scathing riposte at Rangers fans.
Ibrox supporters have been expressing their frustration after the Rangers pair broke guidelines by attending a house party with at least eight other people in Glasgow’s west end.
The two players have been suspended with many Gers fans calling for their head – but Provan claims that wouldn’t be the case if it was more important first-team players who breached protocol.
“Would they be demanding P45s if Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos were caught having a good time?” writes Provan [Scottish Sun].
“No chance. They’re more worried about ten in a row than public health.
“Jones and Edmundson are the latest inductees to the Covid Hall of Shame.
“Throughout the pandemic, footballers have been judged differently from Joe Bloggs.
“For the most part, they’ve complied brilliantly with the Covid rules.
“Some had their wages slashed but still found time to deliver food to their local community. Most have been a credit to themselves and their clubs.
“They’re due some slack.”
Whilst the sentiment about players being due some slack might be relevant, there’s something unsettling about the comments about Rangers fans and public health.

Whilst everyone at Ibrox is desperate for silverware this season, it feels like a needless dig to the kidneys from an old Celtic carthorse fuming that their season is slipping away from them.
Besides, what does Davie Provan know about what Rangers fans do or don’t want?
