It didn’t take long between Rangers announcing when Castore’s latest kit would launch and blurry images appearing across social media.
It’s not quite John Lundstram standing modelling a strip, but it is certainly a clear enough indication of what the 2023/24 home kit is going to look like.
As with most of the Rangers shirts under Castore, there has been more than a sense of nostalgia and this one is no different.

In 2009/10, Walter Smith guided Rangers to a second consecutive league title and a league cup, the “Rangers double” as it used to be known.
Players like Pedro Mendes, Steven Davis, Allan McGregor and David Weir were key components of a strong Rangers side, with Kris Boyd doing the damage at the sharp end of the pitch.
It would appear as this has been the inspiration for the 2023/24 home kit with a striking similarity to the one that saw us win our 53rd top flight league title.

Simple and uncluttered, it looks like it could be a popular strip for Rangers fans and it may even be a hint at what the change options could look like too.
With the same template used by Umbro for a red away strip in 2009 and a clean white third top, it would be an easy way to see record sales again for Rangers if Castore were to follow in their footsteps.
It was always going to happen after keeping it a secret for so long but, for once, it looks like the secrecy and suspense has been well worth the wait.
All we need now is some players of similar quality to fill it.
