Chris Jack, on revealing that Thomas Buffel won’t be returning to Ibrox, has claimed that:
“Rangers will look to hire a coach with an affinity to the club and a knowledge of Scottish football to assist new boss Philippe Clement.
“Clement will be joined in Glasgow by Stephane van der Heyden and further announcements regarding the make-up of his backroom team are expected in the coming days as he prepares to hold talks with the interim management team of Steven Davis and Alex Rae.”

Coaching experience, presence and personality will be the key qualities that the board and manager should be looking for.
