Rangers winger Eros Grezda has returned to former club NK Osijek after a stumbling 18-months in Glasgow but not without a parting comment to the Ibrox faithful.

The Albanian international never quite found his feet at Ibrox and the writing was on the wall after a clash in the Colts Challenge Cup tie against Ballymena United, if it wasn’t already.

Far from be bitter about his time at Ibrox, Grezda’s parting shot was admirable and clearly shows he developed an affinity with Rangers during his time here.

Speaking on his official Instagram account, Grezda said:

“Sometimes in life things dont go as we wish , but important thing is to never give up on your dreams !!! Wishing all the best to my teammates and club. #watp #55”

It’s certainly not someone who is bitter about returning back to Croatia.

The Albanian international was tipped for big things at Ibrox when he joined the club last season but it never happened for the £2m right-winger.

Former teammate at Osijek Borna Barisic has developed into a roaring success at Ibrox and fellow Croatian signing Niko Katic is a fan favourite at Ibrox.

Rangers fans have been reacting to Eros Grezda’s parting comments on Twitter:

Reports are suggesting that Rangers are entitled to a sell-on fee percentage if the Albanian leaves the Croats as part of the deal.

Rangers fans praised Ross Wilson for helping to move on the troublesome Albanian international.
