Ibrox fans have been wishing popular reserve goalkeeper and cult Rangers hero Andy Firth Happy Birthday this week as the ex-Liverpool stopper turns 25.
The former Barrow goalie – whom many Rangers fans claim has the “best job in the world” – is currently fourth choice at Rangers but he remains a popular figure amongst the support.
Cult Rangers hero Firth has made just one Gers appearance
Despite signing on at Rangers in January 2019, Andy had played just once for the Gers as he came on as a late substitute for Wes Foderingham in a disappointing final day defeat against Kilmarnock.
Signing a new one-year deal with the club in April, the player is regularly seen cheering the side on from the sidelines and is a positive influence on the club and support.
Andy has taken to Rangers and despite his opportunities being limited, the goalie is always just happy to be here and cherishes every moment he’s involved with the club.
Rangers fans wish Andy Firth a happy birthday
It’s for this reason that Firth has endeared himself so much to supporters and there’s something to be said for how much he’s being tested on a daily basis at Rangers in terms of his own development.
Plenty joined the club in wishing the goalkeeper a happy birthday as they saluted the player for ‘renewing his season ticket’ ahead of Rangers’ charge to 56:

Andy himself certainly appreciated the messages as he celebrated his birthday on Sunday 26th September.
The goalkeeper took to Twitter to say thanks for all the messages as fans flooded the player’s socials with positive messages.
Meanwhile, Rangers captain James Tavernier gave the perfect response when asked by the club about his 300th Gers appearance over the weekend.
