Be it Nike, Adidas, or even Castore, over the years there have been some sensational Rangers kits, home and away.
The Rangers support pride themselves on a famous conveyor belt of pioneering jerseys which have been accompanied by plenty of silverware in days gone by.
But there is one jersey in particular which seems to always catch the eye when it comes to our best ever and it’s the Rangers Adidas home kit of 1994-96.
Whilst there are a number of top kits in Ibrox history, this one has a certain je ne sais quoi and now Four Four Two have named it as one of the best football jerseys in history.
Rangers Adidas kit named one of the best ever
In a list of the best Adidas kits of all time – where a lot of them come from the 90s – Rangers’ famous turtle-necked 1994-96 kit was held up in a noble 8th place finish.
The shimmering blue, the centralised badge, the three striped sleeves, and the subtle pattern make this one of the footballing world’s most perfect jerseys.
The McEwen’s Lager – a sight enough to knock you back into a moment of 90s 9IAR nostalgia – is just an added bonus.
Four Four Two have ranked the famous Rangers Adidas kit as the eighth best kit from the retailer of all time – which from our perspective is strong finish.
After all, the famous Newcastle Brown Ale kit, early 90s AC Milan kit, and German and Dutch kits from the late 80s and early 90s are all belters in their own right.
Four Four Two’s top ten Adidas kits of all time:
10 – Seattle Sounders away 2023-2024
9 – Leeds United away 2023/24
8 – Rangers home 1994-1996
7 – Manchester United away 1990-1992
6 – Newcastle United home 1995-1997
5 – Borussia Dortmund home 1988/89
4 – Liverpool home 1989-1991
3 – AC Milan home 1990-1993
2 – West Germany home 1990 World Cup
1 – Netherlands home 1988

Rangers have proud history of classic Ibrox jerseys
There have been some top efforts through the years when it comes to classic Rangers kits, and not just from Adidas.
The German retailers have produced the likes of the 92-94 home kit – another iconic effort – and just about every away kit during the club’s stint with Adidas back then is also a cracker.
There are also the Umbro and Admiral jerseys from the 80s and early 90s, whilst in modern times Nike’s 1998-99 top is one of the club’s best ever kits. The clean cut 1972 Cup Winners’ Cup jersey is also a belter, as is its reimagining in 2012.
The Diadora effort from 02/03 remains a cult classic, whilst the white collared Umbro top from 2010/11 is another that stands out from the modern era.
As for Castore – who’ve just signed a new deal with Umbro – we reckon the 150th anniversary home kit takes their crown whilst this season, the orange and blue 3rd kit is a bonafide belter.
Whilst we couldn’t agree more on the inclusion of the Rangers Adidas jersey here, it’s not the first time we’ve been given an almighty compliment by Four Four Two either.
