Rangers are pushing to keep winger Ross McCausland having made a proposal over a new contract until the summer of 2027.
The hype around Ross McCausland is building and Rangers are really trying to make sure he stays at Ibrox.
McCausland came off the bench and made a real impact against Sparta Prague on Thursday night.
The 20-year-old looks fearless when taking on defenders and has provided a real spark on the right flank.
McCausland started in the win at Livingston this afternoon, again posing a major threat with Rangers no doubt feeling that a real star is emerging at Ibrox.
Rangers fighting to keep Ross McCausland
McCausland is out of contract at the end of the season and could walk away from Rangers.
That would be a bitter pill to swallow and Fabrizio Romano now suggests that Rangers have ‘sent their proposal’ of a new deal.
McCausland is being offered a deal until the summer of 2027, with Philippe Clement seemingly rating him highly.
Romano claims that Premier League scouts watched McCausland in action against Sparta on Thursday.
That will be a real concern for Rangers, with compensation as low as £350,000 needed to take him away from Glasgow as things stand.

McCausland contract becoming a priority for Rangers
Rangers haven’t been too successful in terms of bringing youth players into the first-team picture.
Nathan Patterson was a big success and earned Rangers a lot of money, but others such as Stephen Kelly, Kai Kennedy and Josh McPake haven’t been so lucky.
The hype around Alex Lowry faded a little before his loan move to Hearts, but Leon King is a first-team presence now and there are high hopes for Bailey Rice.
This mixed record means Rangers really can’t afford to let top young talents like McCausland leave the club, especially having already shown his first-team quality.
McCausland’s contract should now be a top priority and Rangers seem to be of that mindset too, making him an offer well in advance of the January window.
Clement is giving McCausland chances to shine, and we hope that tempts the Northern Irishman into staying put and signing new terms at Ibrox.
