Former Hearts and Scotland boss Craig Levein says he wants Rangers to win the title adding that he “can’t stand” those Celtic claims to 10IAR.

The Parkhead club are claiming this could be a 10th title on the trot whilst Rangers are hoping to secure their first crown since being cast to the bottom tier back in 2012.

It would be Rangers’ 55th title and outspoken ex-Scotland boss Levein is backing the blues as they hope to break Celtic hearts this season.

Levein, 56, says he “can’t stand” this entire song-and-dance about 10IAR and wants Rangers to silence it once and for all.

“They [Celtic] have been over the course before but you know, I just can’t stand this whole ten-in-a-row thing. It really gets to me,” said Levein [Off the Ball 31/10/20].

“I just don’t want there to be all the hassle that goes with it. It would be good if Rangers won the league this season so it’s back to square one.

“I just don’t want this whole ten-in-a-row thing to become more than it is. It goes back to zero and we can start again.”

Whilst this is a big season for our rivals for that reason, Rangers will be squarely focused on lifting the Scottish Premiership title for their own reasons.

When asked if Rangers could stop 10IAR, ex-Ibrox boss Alex McLeish superbly summed up the thoughts of everyone at Ibrox this season.

For Rangers fans it is about 55 and banishing the blues of the last ten years more than anything else.
