Ex-Rangers winger Sone Aluko has secured a loan move to China’s Beijing Renhe for the rest of 2019.
The Nigerian forward was a fan favourite at Ibrox and Gers supporters will be interested to hear about the next chapter of his career.
Now 30 years old, Aluko moves on loan from Reading for whom he’s scored once in 20 games this year. He joined the Royals for a £7.5m fee from Fulham back in 2017.

Nigerian international Sone Aluko is very fondly remembered at Ibrox after a successful short six-month spell at the club. The flying winger joined Rangers as the club was entering turmoil in 2011-12.
He is well remembered for his role in that iconic 3-2 win against Celtic at Ibrox. If Celtic had won that day, they also would’ve won the league title on our home patch.
Aluko had a different idea and opened the scoring in the opening stages of the game. He would later join Hull City as the club went through off-field issues.

Aluko will join up with Beijing Renhe as they prepare for their campaign kicking off on the 1st of March. The Chinese side finished eighth in the Chinese Super League last season.

Rangers fans will wish Sone Aluko all the best as he enters the next stage of his career in China.
He’s not the first ex-Rangers to play with Beijing Renhe either. Nikola Jelavic turned out for the Chinese capital outfit back in 2016.
The big Croatian spoke recently in a matchday programme about how leaving Ibrox wasn’t completely his choice.
