Rangers fans are eagerly awaiting the next breakthrough in the takeover negotiations with 49ers Enterprises and Andrew Cavenagh.

Rangers are some way down the line with the proposed Rangers takeover, as 49ers Enterprises prepare to add another British club to its stable.

San Francisco 49ers chief Jed York insists Rangers will be separate from the NFL outfit’s operations, as is the case with Premier League hopefuls Leeds United.

As the Whites took another step closer to the Premier League land of milk and honey, one former Ibrox hero has appeared to confirm he’s got a vested interest in how that pans out.

DaMarcus Beasley watches Leeds United v Preston North End

USA legend DaMarcus Beasley was in attendance as Leeds United managed a 2-1 victory over Preston North End to keep themselves top of the Championship.

With four games to go, Leeds are top on goal difference with the Elland Road club level on points with league title rivals Burnley.

Leeds are also five points ahead of 3rd place Sheffield United, meaning they can guarantee automatic promotion by winning there of their four final matches.

Beasley, 42, spent three years at Rangers between 2007 and 2010 and made a remarkable 126 caps for the USA national team.

But the ex-PSV Eindhoven, Manchester City and Hannover 96 star is now making waves as an investor with Leeds United seemingly part of his portfolio.

DaMarcus Beasley hints at Leeds United investment

In a social media post after Leeds defeated Preston at Elland Road, Beasley paid tribute to the Leeds fans.

The former Rangers winger – who is a part-owner of USA fourth tier club Fort Wayne FC – also appeared to indicate that he is a minority investor in the fallen English giant.

The former Rangers star was THEN pictured with USA international and Leeds United star Brenden Aaronson after the match.

In a post on X, Beasley said: ”Incredible atmosphere at Elland Road.. great performance and 3pts. Good to see the homie Brenden after the match! Truly honored to be a small part of the Leeds United family.”
