Former Rangers striker Kenny Miller believes the stage is set for Ibrox talisman Alfredo Morelos to break his Old Firm duck against Celtic at Hampden.
Glasgow’s big two will lock horns at the national stadium in the first Old Firm cup final since 2011 and arguably the biggest game of Steven Gerrard’s tenure so far.
Morelos is yet to find the net against Celtic – much to the delight of our rivals – but Miller believes the time is nigh for the Colombian firebrand.

“He’s got 22 goals for Rangers and we’re only halfway through November, so there’s no doubt his record against Celtic will change and I expect it to be this season,” said Miller [The Scottish Daily Mail (19/11 print edition, page 85)].
“A lot of chances have dropped for him against Celtic and he’s been unfortunate not to take them but what better way to break his duck than with a cup final winner?”
Miller knows plenty about scoring against Celtic, having hit the back of the net nine times against our biggest foes wearing the blue of Rangers.
Unfortunately, Miller also has one against Rangers for Celtic having played at Parkhead for a spell during his career.

Someone who Ian Crocker famously described as “always having a say on Derby Day” the Old Firm fixture was one which Miller always relished.
Has he made the right call this time round when it comes to Alfredo Morelos?
