Former Rangers winger Gregg Wylde has signed for Scottish third-tier side Clyde as the 28-year-old joins the ranks of Danny Lennon’s team at Broadwood.
The one-time Ibrox winger has joined up with the Scottish League One side until the end of the season as he looks to win a deal on Clydeside.
Having previously turned out for the likes of Rangers, Aberdeen, Plymouth Argyle and most recently Livingston, Clyde are Wylde’s eleventh club and a surprising development in the player’s career.
It is perhaps not the way that Rangers fans envisaged Wylde’s career going after the once explosive winger burst onto the scene at Ibrox.
A product of Rangers’ youth academy, Wylde joined the Rangers youth set-up from Old Firm rivals Celtic as a 14-year-old.
Wylde made his first-team debut as an 18-year-old back in August 2009 and would go on to feature semi-regularly under the management of Rangers legend Walter Smith.
The left-sided winger turned out for Rangers in the Europa League, started the 2011 2-1 League Cup Final win over rivals Celtic and would go on to make 48 appearances for Rangers scoring twice.
Joining up with a Clyde side currently languishing in 8th place in Scottish League One [as of 05/01/20], Gregg Wylde will be hoping to establish himself alongside the likes of David Goodwillie.

Former Rangers star Wylde made his debut for the third-tier Scottish club after coming on as a substitute in their 3-3 draw with Stranraer this weekend.
