Former Rangers midfielder Graham Dorrans has claimed that there was interest from Scottish Premiership clubs for his services before he signed with Dundee.
This is contrary to earlier reports which have claimed Dorrans had been interesting Premier League clubs.
These appear to have taken place due to a misprint with BBC Scotland (which has since been corrected).
Prior to being amended, the quote on the BBC Scotland website claimed that Dorrans said: “there were conversations from Premier League teams in England but nothing came of them.”
This was then reprinted by the likes of the Daily Record.
But the national broadcaster has amended the comments to say “there were talks with Premiership teams and teams in England but nothing came of them.”
This suggests Dorrans claims it was Scottish Premiership sides that were interested, not English top tier clubs.
In the comments, Dorrans, 32, expressed his ambitions to prove his fitness and his ability in Scotland after a tumultuous few years at Ibrox.
“I’m here now and want to give 100%,” said Dorrans.

“I’ve got ambitions to get back playing at the top, as high as possible. Hopefully we can get Dundee back to the Premiership and see how it goes from there.”
Dorrans signed for Dundee until the end of the season on transfer deadline day after being released by Rangers and is a major coup for the Dens Park outfit.
Dundee fans were delighted to sign the midfielder and Rangers fans will be hoping the former Norwich and West Brom man can resurrect his career in the northeast.
