Following an indifferent start to life back in the second tier, Sheffield Utd has gone on a 14-match unbeaten run in the league to bolster their top-flight ambitions.

Winning the Playoff final and securing a place in the Premier League is worth £180m to the victor and this is a prize every side wants.

Foderingham signed for the club in the summer and has kept 11 clean sheets in his last 17 matches, with the latest result a 4-0 victory over Swansea which pushed the Blades into sixth position.

Foderingham was a solid if unspectacular keeper at Rangers, arriving in 2015 under new manager Mark Warburton and playing an important role as we won the Scottish Championship title to be promoted back to the top flight.

His opportunities became limited upon the arrival of Steven Gerrard, who signed Allan McGregor for his second stint at the Ibrox side and was often used in cup matches.

It would be great to see Foderingham feature in the Premier League and with the way Sheffield Utd is playing at the moment, then it doesn’t seem to be that much of a pipe dream.

The Englishman would have felt hard done by missing out on winning a league title with Rangers, but he played a major part in the side’s journey over the previous ten years and that won’t be forgotten.

Meanwhile, Foderingham’s former Rangers manager Mark Warburton is also eyeing up the £180m prize on offer for the playoff winners.
