Former Rangers star Charlie Adam has claimed that a source has told him that Ibrox-linked midfielder Jack Wilshere will not be joining the Gers.
Speaking on PLZ Soccer, the Dundee midfielder was speaking amid much speculation regarding Wilshere and Rangers following his release from West Ham United.

But former Ibrox man Adam – who spent several years plying his trade down south – believes that wherever Wilshere ends up, it won’t be Glasgow.
That’s even if Adam originally believed the player could join the club.
“There’s always a possibility Wilshere could come to Rangers,” said Adam.
“Will it be a pay as you play? Because he will still be getting paid from West Ham, and he might just think I might go up there and play until the end of this season.
“I could see it happening because Steven’s got that presence so it wouldn’t surprise me.
“But obviously signing that lad in from South Africa is a different issue because he might’ve thought about that before.
“When a quality player like Wilshere becomes available you’ve got to grab the bull by the horns and try and get that deal done.”
Adam would then text someone live on the show and when they responded, he said:
“I’ve just text somebody and Wilshere, no they don’t think so,” said Adam.

The news comes after talkSPORT presenter Adrian Durham claimed that he had heard “rumours” that Wilshere is being considered for a return to Arsenal amongst claims Rangers are interested.
Reputable West Ham insider Ex-WHU Employee claims that Rangers have reached out to Wilshere whilst controversial journalist Nicola Schira claimed the two parties are in “advanced talks”.
However, a leading Spanish football journalist has raised doubts over the legitimacy of Nicola Schira’s multiple transfer claims over the last few weeks.
