Former Rangers goalkeeper Wes Foderingham ships eight goals as Sheffield United are hammered by Newcastle United in the Premier League.
The ex-Ibrox stopper was powerless to resist as the resurgent Magpies hammered the Blades at Bramall Lane with eight different scorers scoring eight goals.
Sean Longstaff was the first to beat Wes, the keeper having no chance as the midfielder swept the ball in with 21 minutes on the clock after Anthony Gordon had narrowly kept the play alive.
Ten minutes later, Wes Foderingham was picking the ball out of the Sheffield United net once again, the keeper miles off as Dan Burn headed a corner in at the back post.
Within four minutes Newcastle United were three up and out of sight, Burn’s fellow centre-back Sven Botman scoring from Kieran Tripper’s free kick and the goalkeeper really finding himself all over the place positionally.

Wes Foderingham and Sheffield United collapse v Newcastle
Adding insult to injury, Callum Wilson made it four ten minutes into the second half by nodding the ball through the flailing Wes Foderingham’s legs mid-dive with the worst yet to come for Sheffield United.
The Rangers keeper would then be beaten low to his far post when an incredibly sharp Anthony Gordon cut inside and curled one into the bottom corner.
Miguel Almiron made is six with Foderingham flapping, the Sheffield United goalkeeper rushing out only to see the ball rolled past him with ease.
Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimaraes added insult to injury with a seventh, some calamity Sheffield United defending contributing to conceding yet another goal.

But the ex-Lyon star was not to have the last say in the match as Swedish striker Alexander Isak got in on the act by cooling rushing on to a disastrous backpack and beating Wes for an eighth time.
It was certainly a bad day at the office for the former Rangers goalkeeper, who has emerged as the Blades’ number one after moving there from Ibrox in 2020.
The stopper spent five years at Rangers after joining under Mark Warburton in 2015 but Wes Foderingham is finding out with Sheffield United that the Premier League is an unforgiving battleground.
Rangers will also be counting their blessings they’ve managed to nab the club’s current number one from the English top flight.
