Ex-Rangers captain, Lee McCulloch has reserved special special praise for a January signing, within his Evening Times column.
The piece talked about the importance of Gerrard’s side preparing for life without Alfredo Morelos.

That’s something they should be well practiced at by now, considering the number of suspensions the Colombian has picked up this season.
McCulloch though, feels a permanent exit is firmly on the cards in the summer.
After predicting that Jermain Defoe will get better as he works up to full sharpness, he addressed a fellow loan addition.
“The same goes for Steven Davis, who is one of the best players I have ever played with, and he will add to the growing goal threat from Rangers midfield”, McCulloch wrote in his Evening Times column.
He’s not the first former teammate to praise Davis’ ability.

He proved during his first stint at Ibrox and across years in England, that he’s an excellent midfielder.
This second spell hasn’t quite worked out as planned, so far, though.
Will Davis start tonight?
It seems unlikely that Steven Gerrard will tinker with the midfield that overran Hamilton at the weekend.
Ryan Jack and Scott Arfield both scored in that game, while Glen Kamara will be itching to face his former club.

Therefore, despite this high praise, it looks as though Davis will have to be content with a spot on the bench again.
Here’s my predicted XI for tonight’s clash.
