The Croatian even had a hand in the goal and was so good he earned the Man of the Match.
And if his all action displays weren’t enough to show how much he “gets it” – his Instagram story just might.
The form of Niko Katic has been so good that £3m summer signing Filip Helander – our biggest outlay of the window – has hardly been able to get a look in.
Still only 22, Katic is developing into a fine defender and Rangers signing him for £2m last summer from Slaven Bepulo is starting to look a snip.
He’s also becoming a real cult hero amongst the Ibrox legions.

The Rangers support – who were outstanding against Legia – aren’t the only ones who’ve been lavishing praise on Nikola Katic either.
Steven Gerrard himself sung Katic’s praises after his role in the 1-0 win over Legia.
“It was a wow performance for someone of his age and experience. He was a mountain out there,” said Gerrard, speaking after the match.
“He was in the way of everything. He passed sensibly. Positionally he was spot on. He won every header and he flattened everything that was in his way”.
