One thing about Rangers managerial appointments since Mark Warburton in 2015 is that there has been no consistency.
Different nationalities, philosophies, experience and track record of success, something that suggests there is no discernible succession plan.
Speaking to The Scottish Sun, former Rangers boss Mark Warburton has revealed that, despite the chaos, he still talks the job up despite his acrimonious exit.

It’s still never been truly clarified what happened when he was relieved of his duties at Ibrox.
The official announcement was that Rangers accepted Mark Warburton and David Weir’s resignations but the pair remain adamant that they never tendered them in the first place.
What didn’t help their cause though was that they turned up at the club they had been linked with.
Rangers job still one to be coveted claims Mark Warburton
Quizzed about the current situation at his old club, the Europa Conference League winner gave a lengthy interview about his time in Glasgow but, when asked who Rangers need to go for next, Mark Warburton said:
“They need to get a manager who is going to take the club forward.
“I speak to coaches and managers down here all the time about Rangers.
“I never hesitate to tell them it’s a fantastic job.
“My feelings for Rangers have never been affected. I loved being manager and will forever be proud of the opportunity I had.”

It was a shame how it worked out for Warburton after his first season.
Had his team been able to defend corners and won the Scottish Cup in 2016, there is every chance that a place in Europe would have seen him given a bigger budget.
That Pedro Caixinha was handed millions instead is a decision that will never make sense given that Rangers looked like they had signed a few decent youngsters under Mark Warburton.
Warburton is right though.
Things might be a mess but it is still a fantastic opportunity for a confident manager who wants to take the next step.
As long as they are brave enough to take everything else that comes their way that is.
