Whilst there may be no Rangers players involved in the Euro 2020 Final, British-based fans are longing for a Rangers connection to be brought into the game.
Commentary duo Clive Tyldesley and Ally McCoist have been the toast of the tournament’s coverage with the pair earning the plaudits of supporters for their positive, entertaining and informed broadcasting on ITV.

But there’s been a backlash from some on Twitter after it was announced ITV’s number one commentator Sam Matterface will be covering England v Italy alongside ex-Arsenal full-back Lee Dixon.
The broadcaster’s first choice, the decision hasn’t gone down well with football fans who’ve taken to Twitter to rail against the decision.
Legendary Rangers striker and former manager Ally McCoist remains the Ibrox club’s all-time record scorer (355) whilst Tyldesley covered a number of games on RangersTV last season when the club was crowned Champions.
The pair have a link – and a bond – between Rangers and the Ibrox club has never been far away from their coverage throughout the tournament.
But it’s for their personalities and broadcasting abilities that they’re most lauded and supporters from across the footballing spectrum put out a Euro 2020 Final plea to ITV on social media:

The Rangers-linked pair have helped contribute to a wonderful Euro 2020 with ITV’s coverage enhanced as a result.
