Rangers are to feature in a special ESPN documentary which will be beamed across the United States after they linked up with Orange County Soccer Club.
The Californian based soccer club entered a “strategic partnership” with Rangers back in December last year as the USL side looked to increase their profile.
Similarly, Rangers are looking to gain a foothold in the US and increase the exposure of the club to an American audience.
The upcoming documentary “Path to Glory” will be premiering on Thursday, July 16th, 5:30 pm Pacific time on ESPN 2 and look at the similar ambitions of both clubs to become successful.
It’s a sign that this progressive partnership is working and this is great exposure of the club to an American audience.
The documentary will air on globally renowned sports channel ESPN before Orange County’s USL Championship season resumes against Phoenix Rising.
The partnership has also seen Rangers send three youth players across the Atlantic on an incredible journey to develop as players and experience success stateside.
Ibrox youths Cammy Palmer, Matthew Shiels and Danny Finlayson have all headed to America to develop as players and get game time [USL].
Rangers are said to have fought off competition from a host of other clubs to sign the partnership with Orange County, who play in the second tier of American soccer.
The Ibrox club has also signed a deal with Indian champions Bengaluru FC as they look to gain a commercial foothold in the sub-continent [Rangers].
