There haven’t been many positive aspects to Eros Grezda’s Rangers stint.
The 24-year-old joined from Osijek for a reported £2 million in August 2018 [Scottish Sun]. An Albanian international, he was hyped up by Steven Gerrard as an ‘excellent player’ who the fans would love [Rangers.co.uk].
However, he only really produced one good performance during his maiden season. He notched a brace and registered an assist in the 7-1 thumping of Motherwell at Ibrox in November 2018.
Other than that, though, the campaign was disastrous. Injuries and poor form limited him to 17 appearances, with just seven of those coming from the start [Soccerbase].
No suitable offers came in for him in the summer, but Stevie G clearly didn’t think there was any point in giving him a second chance. Banished to the Development squad, he’s been turning out in the Challenge Cup and getting himself into hot water.

An alleged spitting incident in the Third Round against Ballymena United, lead to apologies from the coaching staff and fellow players, as well as disciplinary action from the club [Scottish Herald].
At one stage it looked like he was unlikely to feature for the club again at any level, but he was back in action for the Development XI against Carlisle in midweek.
His on-field woes would continue, though, as he skied a penalty in a 2-1 defeat.
That ensures that he’s still without a goal this season, despite three appearances for the Colts in the Challenge Cup against lower league opposition, as well as multiple friendly outings.
At this point, it’s hard to imagine what else could feasibly go wrong for the winger.
