Eros Grezda’s Rangers record stands at five appearances with no goals or assists. Some Rangers fans, therefore, are fearful of him because of it.
Grezda only made his first start for the club in the 2-0 win over St Mirren. He’s likely to get another opportunity next weekend when Motherwell visit Ibrox. Daniel Candeias’ shocking red card against the Buddies leaves him suspended for next Sunday’s contest.
Yet, it’s Grezda’s St Mirren performance that many people are interested in talking about. The winger struggled to get into the game or create any openings for team-mates. He rattled the post moments before being subbed off, but that was the extent of his contribution.

It’s yet another appearance for the Albanian where he’s failed to make an impact. Despite being so highly-rated, he’s struggled to adapt to life at Rangers in his early stages.
Supporters, as always, took to Twitter to give their views on his starting debut. Unfortunately for Grezda, however, it wasn’t particularly positive.

Deserves time
It’s difficult at a club like Rangers to make such a big impression in so little time. Grezda, however, doesn’t have the luxury of waiting weeks and weeks before turning on the style.
His display in Paisley was nowhere near good enough, but injury troubles have plagued him. The winger deserves plenty more time to make his mark in Scottish football.
It would’ve been interesting to see how much confidence he would’ve taken had his shot trickled in off the post. It was his only bright spot in the 2-0 win over St Mirren yesterday.

Candeias looks like he’s starting to step it up a gear, and will be hard to displace when he returns from suspension. Grezda, however, simply cannot be written off just yet.
Rangers supporters are clearly expecting more from their big-money signing. That’s understandable given the wait they’ve had to see him feature.
He deserves more time to adapt to Scottish football, however, and writing him off just yet isn’t wise. One thing’s for sure, however, and that’s that he’ll have to do better than what he offered yesterday.
