English fans have been asking the question over a Rangers loanee who scored a worldie for his adopted club over the weekend.

Brandon Barker, 24, scored in Oxford United’s 6-0 rout over Crewe Alexandra at the weekend as the Ibrox winger tries to inspire a late playoff push for the League One side.

Barker won the ball in his own half before shimmying past one player, knocking it past another, cutting inside, and firing it low into the opposition’s bottom corner.

It was quite the strike as Barker made Crewe look like a team of schoolboys with the goal showing exactly why Rangers signed the ex-Man City youth.

A former England youth international, big things have been expected of Barker in his career but as of yet that hasn’t quite materialised for the Ibrox club or elsewhere.

But Brandon continues to impress in the English third tier, this goal his third for Oxford since the January switch.

Barker’s performance over the weekend didn’t go unnoticed by the EFL either, with the winger named in the official EFL team of the week for his contribution to the thumping victory.

Rangers winger Barker has certainly left an impression on the English club’s fans who want to see their side sign the winger up for next season:

It’s not clear what’s coming next for Barker who continues to impress down south ahead of next season.

However, the player himself is certainly happy in the south of England having said so himself ahead of the weekend.
