The Community Manager of the Alfredo Morelos Foundation has hit back at the Rangers striker’s ‘critics’ with a Twitter post.
The Ibrox talisman has had a stellar season so far, notching 28 goals in all competitions. He’s currently the top scorer in the Europa League and is one behind Odsonne Edouard in the Scottish Premiership charts.
He’s recently been undertaking charitable works in his native Colombia, too.
Yet, he’s still being targeted by rival fans and the media, prompting Steven Gerrard to speak out on the matter earlier this week. He asserted that because others see El Bufalo as a threat, they ‘want to see him on the other side of the world for good’ [Daily Record].
Now, an employee of the Alfredo Morelos Foundation has backed up the Gers boss’ claims.
Karina Isa Ruiz, Community Manager of the organisation, tweeted:
“We will show Alfredo’s critics that he is not a bad person.”

As we all know, Morelos isn’t one to respond to criticism by blasting his detractors with verbals, despite demands from some areas of the Scottish media for him to come out and face a grilling.
However, at least there is no shortage of people fighting the 23-year-old’s corner.
Despite his red card in the final game before the winter break and his impending suspension, the coaching staff, the fans and his teammates are all behind him, and it looks as though his charity foundation employees are too.
