Former World Cup Winner and Arsenal legend Emmanuel Petit has called on the Emirates club to sack Unai Emery and replace with him with someone like Rangers boss Steven Gerrard.
Arsenal boss Emery is coming under heavy fire for a string of poor results, with Arsenal now sitting in 6th in the Premier League, 17 points off leaders Liverpool.
Starved of success and desperate for change, former Arsenal hero Emmanuel Petit wants some passion to be injected into the side via the touchline.

“The club needs a great leader now,” said Petit [talkSPORT].
“Someone who can bring back the passion, someone respected by the players, someone who can fill the team with energy and the winning mentality.
“Steven Gerrard, for example, is like this.
“I want to see passion, emotion. Someone who, when he takes your hand, you can feel the electricity.
“I want someone who can bring that to the Arsenal dressing room because they need to wake up.”
Every single Rangers fan across the country will be shouting hands-off to Petit and Arsenal, but the Frenchman is clearly at a loss with the poor form of his former club.

Petit also namechecked former Arsenal midfielder Patrick Viera, who’s doing a fine job at Nice, and Napoli’s Italian boss Carlo Ancelotti.
Not bad company for the Rangers boss to be in, with Petit’s comments testament to the job Gerrard’s doing at Ibrox.
