Allan McGregor is a Rangers icon and one of the club’s best goalkeepers of all time.
The retired stopper won 13 trophies during his career at Ibrox and will rightly be remembered as a legend who came up with massive moments for the club and vital saves.
Any player can learn a thing or two from the vast experience earned by McGregor over his 22-year career and that even goes for the world’s best as proven by Manchester City star Ederson.

Footage from the club’s new ‘Together: Treble Winners’ documentary showed the 31-year-old Brazilian keeping a close eye on McGregor’s talents as he prepared to face Odsonne Edouard’s Crystal Palace during last season’s Premier League run.
From Rangers‘ Scottish Cup triumph over rivals Celtic back in 2021, McGregor kept out the Frenchman as the Light Blues dumped their opponents out of the competition thanks to the goalie’s heroics in a 2-0 victory.
And with City preparing to go against the Eagles – with Edouard a likely designated spot-kick taker – the doc footage captured Ederson fine-tuning his preparation.
Inside the changing room the player can be spotted keeping an eye on the monitor as coach Richard Wright points out Edouard’s expected stance and style as he took – and missed – his pen.

It was a blink and you’ll miss it moment from the footage but one which threw up happy memories for some Gers fans from recent times.
As it transpired, Ederson and his teammates would win that game against their opponents to wrestle back top spot in the division.
Could Rangers have a behind the scenes documentary made?
But, somewhat ironically, Edouard would still hit the back of the net but it would come after Erling Haaland smashed in what’s becoming a signature hat-trick to seal the points for City.
The documentary comes after a number of similar projects on Amazon involving the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus.
