Dundee FC fans have lauded former Rangers player Graham Dorrans after he scored a fine equaliser in a tense derby clash at Tannadice on Friday evening.
The Dee have lagged well behind United since the opening weeks of the season and went into this fixture 17 points behind their fierce rivals in the Scottish Championship table.
Therefore, when former Rangers forward Nicky Clark opened the scoring in the fifth minute, it looked set to be a long night for the visitors. Especially, since the Tangerines recorded a whopping 6-2 win over James McPake’s side earlier in the season.

However, there was no defensive implosion this time around, and the Dee were able to get in and regroup at half-time with the score still at 1-0.
Shortly after the interval, another former Rangers player had his say.
Graham Dorrans had his Ibrox contract mutually terminated in September, and since joining Dundee, has played virtually every minute in the league [Transfermarkt].
With 50 minutes on the clock, the 32-year-old picked up the ball on the edge of the box and fired a crisp left-footed shot into the bottom right corner to level things up for his side.
It was a real moment of quality from the Scotland international – his first goal for the club and one which would ultimately be enough to secure an impressive away point.
Dundee fans were mightily impressed by Dorrans’ contribution and praised him heavily on social media.
