Granted, the Union Bears’ play on words in a recent Europa League clash with Tottenham Hotspur was more tongue in cheek.
But there was a brief moment when the man who is promising to Make America Great Again almost took over at Ibrox Stadium.

Donald Trump source confirms interest in ‘great’ Rangers
Sources close to Donald Trump have admitted that the billionaire ‘looked seriously’ at investing in Rangers at the time of the club’s financial collapse.
But due to the scale of the financial issues at Rangers, Trump’s team opted to walk away from a deal.
Despite that, Trump’s source has branded Rangers a ‘great’ club.
Speaking to Four Four Two, a source said: “We looked seriously and walked away. It just didn’t make sense to us, though they’re a great club.”
It appears the Ibrox side are all on their own as they look to Make Rangers Great Again after almost two decades of struggles.
But it’s not just the famous Glasgow Rangers that were under consideration from Donald Trump and his team.
Back in 2015 Trump almost partnered with Italian real-estate mogul Alessandro Proto to buy Colombian club Atletico Nacional.
Yes, that’s right, that’s the same Atletico Nacional with whom former Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos spent last season on loan.
