Do Rangers have one eye on Anderlecht’s Francis Amuzu? – report

Rangers reportedly had representatives in Belgium and specifically at Anderlecht where they may have been looking at 20-year-old winger Francis Amuzu.

Popular and credible Twitter account Scouts in Attendance tweeted that Rangers watched as Vincent Kompany’s side dumped Zulte Waregem 2-1.

Amuzu didn’t play but it didn’t stop Scouts in Attendance linking to a story which suggested interest in the young Ghana-born Belgian international from Southampton.

Only 20, Amuzu is reportedly on the radar of a host of Premier League and Bundesliga clubs with Rangers’ new sporting director Ross Wilson said to be an admirer.

Wilson was formerly at Southampton and the suggestion is he has identified the young winger as a potential Ibrox target.

Whilst the target of Rangers interest is purely speculative from Scouts in Attendance, they are known to be a credible source for which scouts are watching where.

Alongside Rangers, the Twitter account also confirms that the likes of Ajax, Arsenal and Manchester United watched the match.

So whoever Rangers were watching, it looks like they’ll face stiff competition from a host of top European clubs.

Interestingly, whoever was representing Rangers at the match would’ve had one eye on the performance of former Leeds United striker Kemar Roofe.

The talented forward hit the winner in the match and was linked to Ibrox in the summer but eventually moved to Belgium in a reported £7m deal [Leeds Live].
