Leeds United’s transfer shopping could tip a whopping £92m as the Elland Road club rethink a move for Rangers’ Ryan Kent.

Journalist Alan Nixon – who broke the story on Leeds’ interest – claims the Whites have gone back to the drawing board after being warned off a move for the Ibrox talent.

And since a bid for Kent was “strongly rejected” by Steven Gerrard and co at Rangers Leeds United have been very busy in the transfer market indeed.

First came a move for Spanish international Rodrigo, the Brazilian born striker the marquee move for Marcelo Bielsa as Leeds look to establish themselves in the top tier.

The deal to bring the Valencia striker to the club is reportedly worth £30m.

Leeds have also signed German defender Robin Koch in a deal which could eventually reach £13m, bringing their spending to £43m.

But Bielsa’s side also have their eye on two other top talents from the continent for eye-watering fees.

Leeds have been told to cough up £31m if they want to sign Udinese’s Argentine international Rodrigo de Paul.

On top of that, Leeds have been linked with a move for Dinamo Zagreb centre-half Josko Gvardiol to the tune of £18m (€20m).

And they wonder why Rangers reportedly flung out a measly bid of £10m for ex-Liverpool winger Ryan Kent?

If they’re willing to splash out so much on talent across Europe Rangers are quite right to warn the Premier League new boys that they will not sell Kent on the cheap.

Young, English and with plenty of room to develop, they’ll need to cough considerably more if they’re serious about signing the winger.
