Rangers have certainly made the most of the January transfer window, so far.
On top of pre-contract agreements for Jordan Jones and Glen Kamara, two major signings have been announced.
Both Steven Davis and Jermain Defoe have joined the club.

A second spell at Ibrox for Davis has been rumoured since the early stages of the season. Defoe, was more of a surprise swoop.

They have each been near unanimously approved by the Gers fans. Why wouldn’t they be?
The pair have 164 international caps between them.
Davis won eight major trophies during his first spell with the club, while Defoe is the seventh top scorer in the history of the Premier League.

Across the city, arch rivals Celtic, made a slow start.
Yet, things have picked up in recent days, with the arrivals of Oliver Burke and Timothy Weah, on loan.
Those transfers prompted Sky Sports to conduct a flash opinion poll. It asked who football fans believed would make more of an impact in the SPL – Davis and Defoe, or Burke and Weah?
The results? Conclusive.

This one was a bit of a landslide in the Gers’ favour.
Clearly, the two Ibrox arrivals are players of much greater standing in the game than those who have joined Celtic.
With over nearly 18,000 votes cast, this is a subject that’s clearly got people talking.
While we will only find out for sure after the winter break, for now, at least, it looks as though it’s Rangers, who have done the better business.
