One of the primary objectives in the summer transfer window was for Rangers to find a more clinical striker and, in Danilo, it looks as though we might finally have the answer.
Cyriel Dessers has played the vast majority of the minutes and yet it is the Brazilian who has displayed a more clinical edge.
The reported £6m fee will need a lot of goals and trophies to be paid back but by scoring Rangers winner against Hearts, Danilo has made the first instalment.

Rangers numbers make Danilo obvious choice for striker role
Ally McCoist, with a record 355 goals, to his name was criticised on more than a few occasions during his time at the club and his goal scoring return was ridiculous.
Dessers is the man currently under pressure but, if the dramatic win over Hearts teaches us anything, it’s that the 24-year old signing from Feyenoord should be getting the Gers number nine’s starting place.
Rangers manager Philippe Clement will be hoping that Danilo can continue his impressive early form and, when you look at the numbers, it would be a huge surprise if he isn’t starting against Dundee in midweek.
In just over 260 minutes in domestic football for Rangers, Danilo has four goals.
Three in the league and one in the league cup in eight appearances.
He has started two games and scored in both of them.
A goal every 65 minutes, give or take.
Admittedly, it’s a small sample size but, whenever he is given any decent amount of time on the pitch, he scores.
Michael Beale may have preferred Dessers to lead Rangers attack before Danilo fractured his cheekbone scoring against St Johnstone, but Philippe Clement has an easy call to make.
Even if Danilo had four goals in eight starts, he would still be a better option.
The fixture list between now and Christmas is a tough one for Rangers but having a striker who knows where the goal is could make it an awful lot easier.
