A leading Czech football journalist has retracted claims that UEFA are set to confirm their judgment on the Slavia Prague v Rangers racism incident later today (06/04/21).
The Czech club continue to scramble publicly as Rangers throw their support behind midfielder Glen Kamara who was racially abused on the field of play by Slavia star Ondrej Kudela.

Jan Podroužek – who is the head football writer for Czech outlet Daily Sport – made the claim whilst responding to a fan on Twitter who had asked if the defender would be available for the first leg of Slavia’s Europa League quarter-final against Arsenal.
“The proposal on guilt and punishment is to arrive at UEFA from the Spanish inspector no later than tomorrow, but the Disciplinary Committee will not meet until Thursday, ie on the day of the first quarterfinal of the European League with Arsenal,” said Podroužek initially [Twitter].
However, the journalist would then retract this claim and suggest that the matter will be “dragged on” with both sides able to submit new evidence and challenge the findings of the report.
This means that there is no clear end in sight regarding the situation with Rangers pressing UEFA and Slavia continuing to embarrass themselves with aggressive statements in public.
This also means Kudela – providing he has recovered from a “nasal contusion” suffered against Wales – will be free to face Arsenal.
“Correction after consultation with the person concerned: DK will certainly not decide on Thursday and about a week later, the parties will have the opportunity to comment on the report, submit any additional evidence, the matter will be dragged on,” tweets Podroužek [Twitter].
“The start of O. Kúdely in ČF EL is not endangered, at least not for disciplinary reasons.”

The lawyer of Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara has called on the authorities to charge Kudela with the abuse whilst Slavia have demanded a “halt” of the “biased pressure” being exerted on the club by the ongoing public conversation over the incident.
