Rangers defender Borna Barisic didn’t exactly dazzle the Croatian media with his performance against Turkey on Tuesday night.
The Gers have a number of players away on international duty right now and Michael Beale likely can’t wait for them all to be back in Glasgow.
Beale will be hoping to have everybody fit and firing for league action as Rangers face Dundee United this weekend.
One man Beale will be desperate to call upon is left back Borna Barisic.
Summer signing Ridvan Yilmaz hasn’t quite settled in Scotland just yet and Rangers need to have Barisic available.
Barisic started for Croatia on Tuesday night, but his performance didn’t really impress the national media.

Borna Barisic features in Croatia win
The Rangers ace was named in the starting lineup for Croatia as Stuttgart’s Borna Sosa sat on the bench.
Croatia ran out 2-0 winners in Bursa as Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic bagged a first-half brace.
Two goals, a clean sheet and all three points – this was a great night for Croatia and a key victory after squandering a lead against Wales.
Barisic will have been hoping to really seize his chance in the Croatia side but it didn’t really work out that way.
Germanijak over in Croatia rated Barisic at just six out of 10, describing his performance as ‘decent, not impressive’.
It’s noted that Barisic took a fair amount of damage as he ‘received a lot of beatings’ against Turkey and was seen holding various body parts in pain.
They also suggested that Barisic wasn’t on the mark going forward as Croatia attacked more down the right as the game wore on.
Germanijak also claim that Barisic ‘seemed confused’ early on but steadied himself and played well defensively.
That may not be enough to displace Sosa in Croatia’s pecking order but Rangers will just hope none of those injury blows are anything long-standing.
