Rangers could still be on the hunt for some creative flair in the middle of the park, and someone who has that in abundance is Adam Lallana.
The England international and Liverpool midfielder may be on high wages. But the lure of grandeur, Gerrard and silverware could prove too strong for the former Southampton man.
And after Rangers signed Jermain Defoe, the prospect of signing an England international isn’t completely out with the realms of possibility.

The attacking midfielder has struggled with injury over the course of this season. That’s limited Lallana to only eight appearances this year.
The midfielder was supposed to return to the bench for the weekend’s match with Brighton. When he didn’t, it sparked exit rumours on Merseyside.
Jurgen Klopp explains omission
Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp responded by saying: “It’s not serious, he’ll probably be available for next week. It was only a little thing.
“Of course, it’s not nice, who would like that after the season he’s had? But you can’t change things that happened a day ago or an hour ago.”

It sounds like Klopp is willing to give him a shot. But on top of injuries worries, Adam Lallana must break into a hugely competitive side at Anfield which are playing well.
If he can’t before February, or even the end of the season, Lallana may well be considering his options at Liverpool.
At 30, he still has plenty to offer but needs game time to stop his career stagnating.
And should be become available, you wouldn’t rule out Steven Gerrard making enquiries for the creative midfielder.
