A controversial referee has been appointed for Rangers vs Celtic on Sunday in the first Old Firm of the season.
The fixture is set up perfectly, with both sides on six points after three Premiership matches.

It’s the first time that Steven Gerrard will go up against new Hoops manager Ange Postecoglou and although the Gers’ form has been patchy so far this season, their outstanding 2020/21 derby efforts should see the squad heading into the game full of confidence.
Just a few days out from the fixture, the officials have been confirmed.
Kevin Clancy will be the man in the middle, with David McGeachie and Frank Connor the assistant referees and John Beaton fourth official [Scottishfa.co.uk].
Clancy is an experienced whistler who has been on the international list of FIFA referees for close to a decade, but he has made controversial decisions in the past during Rangers matches.

He failed to send off Dundee United’s Ryan Edwards for a wild challenge on Alfredo Morelos in September 2020, while Rangers first-team coach Michael Beale received an SFA ban for accusing Clancy of cheating during an Old Firm two seasons ago [Scottish Sun].
Clancy has refereed Rangers 32 times so far in his career, with the Gers winning 18 of those games, drawing seven and losing seven [Transfermarkt].
He has given three red cards to Rangers players and awarded the Light Blues two penalties.
Ahead of the Celtic clash, plenty of fans have urged a 25-year-old Ger to pull off something special.
