There’s some confusion surrounding the circumstances around Rangers-linked Olympique Nimes midfielder Zinedine Ferhat being dropped for his current club’s most recent game.
The talented playmaker has been a rare bright light in a troublesome season for Nimes who’ve been relegated from the French top flight this season.

In their last game of the campaign, Ferhat was dropped from the squad entirely as Nimes only named six substitutes in the 2-0 defeat to Rennes.
However, Midi Libre revealed before the match that the player would not be travelling to Rennes due to a “hamstring” knock.
Rangers were first linked to the player by Foot Mercato who claimed that the Gers were interested alongside Ligue 1 Saint Etienne and Serie A Sassoulo.
A source close to the 4th Official blog would then claim that Rangers have “definitely” made an approach for Ferhat who is likely to leave Nimes this summer.
According to a French scout, the player could be available for as little as £1.7m (€2m) ahead of next season as he gears up to exit the French club.
Ferhat – who has seven Algeria caps – has scored six goals and laid on 10 assists in a struggling Ligue 1 side this season.
The Algerian international is also not the only player being linked to Rangers ahead of next season as the Gers reportedly gear up for a busy transfer window.
One of the most prominent players being linked to Ibrox is reportedly set to be the subject of a 3rd bid from the English Premier League in the coming days.
